In 2007, my husband and I decided to embark on an adventure and move to southern Spain, using a caravan as our temporary base. After just two and a half years, it became clear to us that this was not merely a stopover, but our new future. Once we had wrapped up our lives in the Netherlands and sold everything, we began looking for a place of our own. We found it in Riviera, Mijas Costa.

My initial plan was to continue working as a pedicurist here, but other opportunities soon presented themselves. After a brief experience in the timeshare sector, I realized that I preferred offering people something tangible and lasting rather than a shared holiday solution. That is how I naturally found my way into the world of real estate. The joy and satisfaction I experienced while searching for our own home were the same feelings I later discovered in guiding others through their property search.

After ten years in Spain, I became a widow. Although many expected me to return to the Netherlands, I let go of that idea. Andalusia still feels like home to me. I enjoy the sun, the sea, the mountains, the beautiful nature, and above all the warmth — in every sense of the word — and the relaxed lifestyle that suits me so well.

I continue to work as a real estate agent with great pleasure. The personal connections, along with the wonderful stories and adventures I have shared with my clients, make this work special every single day — and hopefully for many years to come.
